Hotel and tourism businessmen of Birganj have demanded to declare Parsa National Park and Thori area as tourist capital of Madhesh province.
On Monday in Thori, in the honor of Madhesh Province Minister of Industry, Tourism and Forests, Sunita Yadav and Birganj Industry and Commerce Association officials, in a program jointly organized by Birganj and Thori Rural Municipality Hotel and Tourism Business Association, Birganj Hotel and Tourism Business Association President Hari Pant presented the demand to Sunita Yadav, Minister of Industry, Tourism and Forestry of Madhesh Province. kept
Pant complained that both central and state governments are not interested in promoting Madhes tourism. Addressing the complaints of the businessmen, the chief guest of the program, Minister of Industry, Tourism and Forests of Madhesh Province, Sunita Yadav, said that she will not take responsibility for the careless actions taken by the previous government and said that now the provincial government should work on the development of Chahi Thori. He said that there is a lot of potential for tourism in Thori. She said that since the ministry is about to be divided, if she remains in the Ministry of Tourism, she will make a master plan to promote tourism in Thori and move forward. She said – if the ministry is divided and I become the forest minister, she said that she will leave no stone unturned to promote the tourism of Thori.
In the program, the newly elected president of Birganj Industry and Commerce Association, Anil Patwari, also said that the private sector will also help in promoting tourism in Thori.
Lal Bahadur Shrestha, chairman of Thori Rural Municipality, while giving a welcome speech, said that Thori has always been neglected by all while keeping the various problems of tourism in Thori.
The program chaired by Hari Pant, president of the association, was organized in honor of minister Sunita Yadav and the officials and working committee members of Birganj Industry and Commerce Association.
Officials of Birganj Industry and Commerce Association, working committee members, hotel and tourism businessmen of Birganj and media workers were present in the program.
